Officer of the Watch Report:

Officers were called to the Station Cantina at 1953 to investigate reports of violence among customers there. Due to the volume of near-simultaneous calls into the SSO, Officers Harkin, Jarredson, and Chuck were accompanied by Sgt. Penn to the scene. On arriving, officers noted damaged furniture and associated debris of items familiar to the cantina as well as significant damage to the storefront bulkhead plate. On attempting to enter, Officer Jarredson was struck by a projectile exiting via the bulkhead plate opposite the door from that previously noted. This projectile was later identified as Sleuth Jones of the Order of the Holy Candlestick and was held on charges of assaulting a peace officer. Although Officer Jarredson has requested adding the charge of resisting arrest, due to Sleuth Jones’ state of inebriated unconsciousness a the time of identification and arrest, these charges have not been filed.

On entering the Cantina, several additional members of the Order of the Holy Candlestick were observed to be involved in a violent altercation with members of the Knights of the Resurrected Don. On being ordered to stand down and surrender for arrest by SSO officers, both parties turned to assault the officers present. Reacting to the imminent threat, Officer Jarredson fired his weapon in the direction of the assailants. His round struck and dislodged a maintenance access panel situated above Officer Harkin which then fell, injuring Harkin despite his helmet. The ordeal served to placate the assailants, however, leaving both groups in fits of laughter at Officer Harkin’s misfortune.

All individuals involved in the Cantina altercation have been held on charges of Assault and Battery, Attempted Assault on a Peace Officer, and Vandalism, with other charges to be filed as appropriate by the Imperial Circuit Court if it arrives. Liens have been filed against the assets of both organizations by the manager of the Cantina for damages sustained.

NOTE: HIJ-029 ‘Imperial Circuit Magistrate Appearance Request’ forms are no longer being accepted for transmission by the SCO, citing monopolization of communication resources.

NOTE: A form HIE-p0013 ‘Official Bribe Report’ has been filed by Yeoman Pamela Ryan (SCO Senior Yeoman). Copies of the completed form are available.

Officer of the Watch Report:

Officers were dispatched to the Station Cantina in response to multiple complaints concerning attempted assaults on customers. At 2133, Officers Chuck and Harkin arrived at the Station Cantina and witnessed Squires Smith and Giles of the Order of the Pressured Don brandishing swords at other Cantina customers, many of whom were located in the adjacent pantry. Although a great number of inflammatory statements made by the Squires were recorded by SSO Officers on site, common phrases such as ‘Fight like a brave and Godly soul’ and ‘Cowardly Heathen’ have been noted in the combined depositions of all witnesses to the events. The noticeable scent of alcohol in the breath of each suspect was noted in the officers’ reports.

In accordance with the parole granted previously to Squires Smith and Giles, both individuals have been placed in mandatory detention pending a hearing by an Imperial Circuit Magistrate. Form HIJ-029 ‘Imperial Circuit Magistrate Appearance Request’ #52 was send and filed via SCO Communications Office today at 2248. An additional form HIJ-114 ‘Request for Expedited HIJ-029 Approval’ was also filed via SCO Communications at 2250.

Imperial Alcohol Distribution License #902331A was displayed and registered at 2319 in the SSO by the current listed License Holder, Deacon Peter L. Aubergine of The Evangelical Church of the 3rd Resurrection. The license specifically allows for off-sale distribution from shipboard (Licensed vessel listed as SS Babtist), as well as on-sale consumption in Imperial Territory. Deacon Aubergine advises that his organization has no plans at present to acquire premises on board Machina Station. He has retained a copy of form HIB-1087J ‘Permit for Serving Establishment’ against future need.

NOTE: A form HIE-p0013 ‘Official Bribe Report’ has been filed by Lieutenant Jethro Anderson. Copies of the completed form are available.

Officer of the Watch Report:

All on-duty SSO officers were called to the station Concourse at 2019 this evening responding to reports of violent public disturbance and attempted assault. Six members of the Order of the Holy Candlestick were detained initially on charges of Armed Assault. Witnesses, including Officers Jarradson and Grass, report members of the Order swinging lead pipes at passerbys in front of their Concourse offices and the entrance to the Station Cantina. Upon initial questioning members admitted to attempting to ‘Convert the heathen, clueless bastards!’. When questioned regarding the use of the pipes, a sense of pride was apparent in those interrogated in using force to convince non-believers of their errors and urge them towards the Orders theology. (NOTE: Choice of detainees to interrogate made on the basis of those still conscious and capable of coherent speech between bouts of vomiting).

Due to the felonious nature of the charges, Order detainees will be held pending a hearing by an Imperial Circuit Magistrate. HIJ-029 ‘Imperial Circuit Magistrate Appearance Request’ #48 was send via SCO Communications Office at 2152 today. A form HIJ-114 ‘Request for Expedited HIJ-029 Approval’ was also filed via SCO Communications at 2157.

Due to brig cell crowding, a request has been sent to the Station Commanders Office to convert Cargo Bay 05A to a temporary holding cell. Budgetary requests for additional overtime by SSO Officers has also been forwarded to the SCO.

NOTE: A form HIE-p0013 ‘Official Bribe Report’ has been filed by Oliver Sickle (Customs Duty Officer, 2nd Shift). Copies of the completed form are available.

Officer of the Watch Report:

Responding to repeated complaints by IAKU detainees, SMO technicians were summoned at 1802 to repair reported malfunctions in the toilet facilities serving Brig Cell Block 02 (Formerly the SSO Lobby). Pursuant to orders given and confirmed 06.09.2308 by Lt. J. Anderson, Security Officer In Charge of His Imperial Space Station Machina, Officers Harken and Jarredson accompanied SMO Technician Iskra to Block 02 and stationed themselves outside the Mens Toilet door. Technician Iskra reports that as he was beginning to remove an access panel form the wall, an unseen assailant struck him from behind with a bundle of pamphlets. These pamphlets were later proven to be among the items retained by IAKU detainees when confined.

At Technician Iskra’s cry, the inmates stormed the exit to Block 02. Officers Jarradson and Harken report being physically abused during the rush to the door. At this point, Officer Jarradson’s weapon discharged into the deck. The damage caused to Station infrastructure was mitigated by having passed first through the foot of Officer Harken. The discharge, and subsequent vocalizations by Officer Harken served to pacify the IAKU members and alert other SSO staff on shift, who quickly arrived to help control the scene.

Attempted Insurrection, Assault on a Peace Officer, and Conspiracy have been added to the list of charges against all IAKU members currently in custody. HIJ-029 ‘Imperial Circuit Magistrate Appearance Request’ #44 was send via SCO Communications Office at 1933 today.

NOTE: By order of the Infirmary, Officer Harkin is to be placed on reduced duty until such time as his toes might be regenerated by Infirmary personnel

Officer of the Watch Report:

A request to extend the assignment of armed SSO officers to escort SMO technicians has been approved, effective 1642 today. The escorts shall, however be reduced to 2 officers per shift. Additional SSO personnel will be made available as duties allow at the discretion of the officer of the watch in question.

Bryan McClod, manager of the Machina Station Cantina filed a grievance with the SSO and SCO at 1703 after filing an incident report at the SSO duty desk. Manager McClod requests that SSO officers be stationed permanently at the entrance to his establishment to control the activities of the religious organizations currently occupying the Concourse stalls on either side of the Cantina. Manager McClod further demands reparations in the form of a £50,000 credit to the Cantina station services account to offset business lost due to interference from these organizations. Manager McClod was advised to not expect these funds until an Imperial Civil Circuit Magistrate could sit in judgment on his claim.

Officer of the Watch Report:

Official recognition and approval of budget extension for Brig Cell Block 02 (formerly the SSO Lobby) has been retroactively approved by the SCO. Budgetary extension have been approved specifically for Brig rations and re-zoning of the space. Budgetary requests for infrastructure improvements to the new Brig Cell Block have been denied at this time. In consultation with the Cmdr. Walsh, Lt. Anderson has also denied requests for parole for inmates held in BCB02, due to the flight risk posed by the IAKU ship still in dock. These policies will remain in effect until a hearing before an Imperial Magistrate can be held to confirm or modify them.

In response to complaints filed by multiple station staff and visitors, Officers Chuck and Harkin were dispatched to the station concourse to investigate claims of harassment on the part of “Crazy People.” Sleuth Robert and three other members of the Order of the Holy Candlestick were detained and questioned before being released on bail for charges of assault and disturbing the public rest. Members of the Order admitted to offering high-protein packets of dehydrated gruel and medical examinations performed by members of the Order. Sleuth Robert further admitted to being insistent on the examinations with certain individuals due to their “Obvious malnutrition and state of shock”. These conditions were, he claims, caused by the “Severe spiritual catastrophe that has recently taken place.”

Sleuth Robert was warned that, under the conditions of his parole, he and the other charged members of the Order are to refrain from imposing their offered aid on those who do not request it. Relevant persons were also reminded that any further disruption will result in mandatory detention until the case can be heard by an Imperial Magistrate.. Victims of the event have been referred to the Station Councilor should they require advice regarding the episode.

At his request, Sleuth Robert’s remarks regarding malnutrition on the station have been forwarded to the SCO and station Cafeteria. A transcript of Sleuth Robert’s interview is available on request.

Officer of the Watch Report:

Demonstrations were held by the IAKU beginning at 1409 and continuing until halted at 1930 by order of the SCO. These demonstrations were not scheduled and were held in the SSO lobby, blocking all access for station visitors and residents. Requests by SSO officers were met by the insistence by IAKU members that according to HID-11 peaceful demonstrations are allowed in any and all public spaces in His Majesty’s Empire. Emergency Declaration 308013 was signed by Cmdr. Marsh declaring all SSO and SCO spaces to be closed to all unauthorized personnel. On refusal of the demonstrators to removed themselves from restricted spaces, the SSO lobby doors were sealed at 1932 and the space re-designated Machina Station Brig 02. All IAKU members detained therein are to be held under close arrest for trespassing on restricted Imperial property until their case can be seen by an Imperial Magistrate.

In accordance with HRD-1008, and after careful consideration by Machina Station Council, all Kirnian Minx pelts are to be sold in lots at public auction to merchants holding Class 4 Imperial Goods licenses. All proceeds from these sales are to be deposited in the Machina Station Widows and Pension Fund. Donations by interested parties may also be made.

Squire Allen of the Knights of the Resurrected Don have placed a memorandum on file with the SSO offering aid in civic organization and crime reduction. Squire Allen has been assured that he and his order will be informed should such aid be requested by competent station authorities. Approval of other services offered in the memorandum has been deferred to the Station Councilor.

Detachments from the SMO and Station Infirmary will be assigned with proper processing of Minx cadavers. Cargo bays B-8 and A-4 are hereby designated work and storage areas for the task. Due to the valuable nature of the processed pelts, SSO detachments will also be required for access control to the same areas.
